Intergenerational Jamboree

Intergenerational Jamboree: a musical group led by a therapist, including kids under 4, parents, and Burlington club members.
Wednesday May 7, 2025 – 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM
LOCATION: Acclaim Health Burlington Club 2180 Itabashi Way Burlington, ON L7M 5A5
Join Meredith Woodiwiss qualified, accredited music therapist, for a weekly intergenerational music therapy program. These sessions are designed to include children under 4, their parent/guardian, and day program members at the Burlington Club, a day programs for individuals living with a diagnosis of Dementia.
As the children’s music-learning is nurtured, pre-schoolers and their grownups will foster new and important relationships with their club member “Grandfriends”. Our club members will look forward to the lively weekly visits, the chance to share memories, and the opportunity to grow and create a harmonious music-making experience together. The additional cognitive, physical, and emotional benefits for participants make the intergenerational sessions a win-win for all.
Although the program is free, registration is required and is limited. We ask that participants attend all eight sessions to the best of their ability.
This is a weekly Wednesday event starting Wednesday May 7th, 2025 from 10:30 until 11: 15
and finishing Wednesday June 25th 2025.
We hope to see you there!
