Dr. Patty Plaxton’s life was forever changed by the early onset of dementia five years ago. But she and her husband, John, along with their two children, have faced the resulting challenges with courage and purpose.
By donating to Patty’s Place, you’re giving hundreds of other families the support they need to face their own journey with dementia.
You’ll help create a state of the art 15,000 sq ft dementia centre in Oakville!

About the Dementia Care Centre
The new dementia care centre will feature:
- Two Adult Day Programs (more spots, more hours, more days of care)
- Eight short stay overnight respite beds (the only ones in Halton!)
- Increased support for family caregivers
The centre will incorporate best practices in dementia design, including a 3D immersive technology room, lots of natural light and outdoor spaces. It’s scheduled to open the fall of 2021.
It’s flexible, innovative care that will help people with dementia live at their best.
